Game Idea:
Dream sequence where you’re trying to prevent yourself from waking up. Winning: didn’t wake up, losing: you were woken up by the alarm.
- Character:
- Girl with hands for hair - attack using the hair
- There's 2 states:
- Normal: walking, can attack with hair
- Enhanced: flying, cannot attack
- Enemy:
- Clocks: when touched, drains timer faster, and also makes a horrible noise.
- Key:
- A snooze button - opens gate, stops timer from draining.
- Exit:
- A portal that appears once the key is collected, enter to get to the next level.
Have a time based design - if you cannot escape before the time runs out, you lose. No health, you lose time if you take damage.
Have a tutorial level that can guide the player through the level
Game Testing Insight:
- There was a gap in the boarder, and the player can fall through on level 4 in one spot.
- The boarder is invisible, so it is not intuitive, should have a fog of war or something similar to make it more intuitive.
- Some tiles can be travelled through, but does not look so, so make it more visible and different.
- Certain parts of the level are slightly hard, maybe try to reduce difficulty.
- If you die, it resets to the first level, maybe have a level selection system and reset to the same level to make it easier.
